4.Nuendo is a newer tool for music manipulation as opposed to the older Cubase. Both have much in common, but there are Nuendo features exclusively made for the pro audio industry.

However, this has all the added capabilities and bonus plugins like the VST3 for more ease of control. Nuendo does not support VST 2 when running natively on Apple silicon Macs. Ive been demoing it and kind of thinking about it because apparently people like it a lot for orchestral production. VST 2 plug-ins only run in Rosetta 2 mode on Apple silicon Mac. Not really a fair comparison, for me personally, Cubase Pro 10.5 is streets ahead of Studio 1 and Nuendo is streets ahead of Cubase with all its video editing features and superior automation, DCA groups etc. One use I can see being useful is the Game Audio to easily compose music and have it switch to Wwise to test/implement.īeyond that though, does Nuendo have features or in the past had features that are useful for Music Production that doesn’t end up in Cubase? I’m currently a Cubase 10 user and very interested in the Nuendo Crossgrade offer that includes Nuendo 10 when it comes out.
